SACRED PLACE · AYODHYA
Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir

Darshan timings
Public darshan: 7:00 AM–9:00 PM, with a midday pause around 12:30–1:00 PM. Aarti passes are separate. Arrive with extra time for security, footwear storage, and the natural flow of devotees. Morning and evening aartis are especially meaningful, but schedules can change on festival days, during special pujas, or because of local arrangements.
How to reach
Ayodhya is accessible by train and by flight through Maharishi Valmiki International Airport; local e-rickshaws and taxis serve the temple area.
Best time to visit
October to March is usually most comfortable. Early morning is calmer; avoid peak festival dates unless you are prepared for crowds.
Temple history
The present temple was consecrated in January 2024 and continues Ayodhya’s long-standing tradition as a major centre of Rama worship. Its living history is not only found in the building itself, but also in the generations of pilgrims, priests, artisans, and local families who have kept worship and remembrance alive through changing times.
Sacred story
Ayodhya is revered in the Ramayana as the birthplace and kingdom of Lord Rama. The temple enshrines Ram Lalla, the child form of Rama. For devotees, this tradition is more than a remembered event. It offers a way to reflect on devotion, courage, humility, and the divine presence that guides a person through both ordinary life and difficult moments.
Why it matters
For devotees, it is a central site of Rama bhakti and a place to reflect on dharma, compassion and righteous leadership. A visit is often experienced as both an outer journey and an inner pause. Many pilgrims come to offer prayer, listen quietly, receive darshan, and reconnect with the spiritual values carried by this sacred place.
